      Good news for enthusiasts in general and for the participants in particular:
      Eurosport International will transmit the pictures of the Master Rallye 98 for 13 minutes per day during the race and a summary of 52 minutes after the rally.
      Complete programming of international transmissions of the event will be communicated by the end of March.



      In 1997, the Master Rallye obtained over 48 hours' coverage:

      * Western Europe: 28 hours
      France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Austria

      * Eastern Europe: 13 hours
      Russia, CIS, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Rumania, Macedonia

      * Rest of the World: 7 hours
      Japan, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Canada, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile




      Audience of 148 million

      During the rally 12 minutes per day of live pictures were available, as well as a programme of 52 minutes on the strongest moments in the event at the end of the rally.

      France 2 and France 3 reached a listening rating of 4.8% with a total audience of 64.2 million.
      Eurosport presented news of 30 seconds per day (Sports Centre) during the 18 days of the rally and included the Mater Rallye in its Off-road and Rally programmes, repeating the broadcast several times.
      The total audience is estimated at 12 225 000 for Eastern Europe.


      Russian TV:

      RTR - covered the 97 event from 8 to 28 September with 13 programmes of 15 minutes each and a programme of 30 minutes at the finish. They also included 45 seconds, 3 times per day in the "Vesti" programme (news). The total audience had a listening rating of +/- 2.9% which corresponds to approximately 60 million telespectators. Vesti news is the best news programme with peak audiences and listening ratings of approximately 23.1%.
